You are also welcome to come and have a regular museum visit and bring afternoon tea or a picnic lunch and sit under the trees to enjoy the peaceful setting. Learn to twist a cord and to make a pompom for the end. Colour or decorate your poi and take it home to impress the children and to make a tassel for the end! Silent Movie – Break the Sound Barrier! Learn about the problems of the early movie projectionists (or tell us if you know things we don’t!). Revise your knowledge of the movie stars of our grandparents day and experience movie going in 1914. Watch a black and white silent movie, and have the opportunity to create an impromptu soundtrack to go along with it! Fantastic Hats Make a fantastic Edwardian lady’s or gentleman’s hat using newspaper and parcel tape. Then wear yours for a photo shoot – don’t forget to bring the camera!
